The Best Low Back Pain Treatment in Amarillo, TX According To Amarillo Chiropractor

Amarillo Chiropractor, Dr. Jeff Williams, discusses the best low back pain treatment in Amarillo TX

Best low back pain treatment in Amarillo, TX.... What a boast right? How can a chiropractor claim to have the best low back pain treatment in Amarillo? To have any better treatment available than someone like a surgeon or a pain doctor?

Let me explain: nothing makes me or any other chiropractor any better than anyone working in the medical field. What I would say is that the medical world is starting to understand that the services chiropractors provide are indeed the best treatments for low back pain whether it’s just been going on for a few weeks or a few years.

It’s true. The medical field has traditionally been against chiropractors because they felt the treatments had no real research validating it and, in some cases, chiropractors made claims that were invalidated. Not to mention, chiropractors have traditionally had negative things to say about many in the medical field.

Turn about is fair play I suppose.

But, the recent opioid crisis and the surge in low back pain and disability on a global level have thrust Amarillo chiropractors like me straight into the spotlight as the spinal specialists that we are. Now, according to medical guidelines and the American College of Physicians, we actually do have the best low back pain treatment in Amarillo, TX!

Here’s why I say all of this: a global panel of low back pain experts from all walks of the healthcare profession recently compiled and submitted new guidelines and recommendations for the treatment of low back pain. Their recommendations were published in a series of papers that appeared in The Lancet which is a prestigious UK medical journal dating all the way back to 1823. This information is as current and as important as can be found regarding low back pain and the treatment of it. It helps us claims that we have the best low back pain treatment in Amarillo because we are

Essentially, without being specific about professions, recommend alternative treatments such as spinal manipulation, acupuncture, massage, self-management, mindfulness, and exercise rehab as the first steps in treating low back pain.

Services the experts felt were of lesser value in treating low back pain were spinal injections, surgery, pharmaceuticals, and bed rest.

The guys and gals are medical doctors, Ph.D.’s, physical therapists, and chiropractors all coming together with these recommendations.

They echoed the new guides from the American College of Physicians when they started telling people to go to a chiropractor for spinal manipulation for low back pain.

Now, notice the term “spinal manipulation” for a moment. What is that? It is what Doctors of Chiropractic do every day all day. In fact, Doctors of Chiropractic perform over 90% of all spinal manipulations treatments.

Notice the term “exercise rehab.” Exercise rehab is what we do in our office all day long. The core exercises, the wobble exercises, the kettlebells, inversion table, vibration plate, etc… These are all examples of exercise rehab in Amarillo and we do it all.

Notice some of the other recommendations such as self-management, acupuncture, and massage. Yes, friends, we do ALL of that here at Creek Stone.

We will give you great recommendations for self-management of your low back pain at home and how to avoid more injury while continuing with your activities of daily living.

We have 5 massage therapists here at Creek Stone performing 14 different types of massages that start at $39/hr, a price that I challenge you to beat anywhere with Amarillo massage therapists. Unless you are related to a massage therapist in Amarillo, I think you may have trouble beating our pricing.

And finally acupuncture. We have a fully licensed acupuncturist in Amarillo that our patients absolutely love. Acupuncture spent its time on the fringe of healthcare just like chiropractic but, the new guidelines are bringing acupuncture into the mainstream discussion and the medical field is now recommending acupuncture for low back pain.

How cool is that?

The best part about looking for the treatment of low back pain in Amarillo is that we can offer all of the medically recommended services right here at Creek Stone under one roof with an amazing staff ready and qualified to get you back into your life.
